So far away
Life happens to us all, we grow up and get married. We have our own family and we stay around our family or we end up moving away. Hyrum and I have done both we lived around family for most of our married life. For almost 2 yrs. We have had a 4hr drive time between any family and us. From there on the time almost doubles and then triples okay I think it more than triples. This time of year we have always had family around at some time. This year it will all change. We have had so many unexpected things come up that we just have to stay home!!! As I was sitting with my sick kids this morning I couldn't help but think how truly bless we are to have our families. I'm so grateful that our Heavenly Father know us and takes care of us. I'm grateful that he has give us our families. A support system to share our joys and sorrows. I can recall with almost every member of my family and my extended family (hys side) times shared in sorrow and times laughing, joking and having a great time. I just want our family to know how much we love them. How grateful I am that my kids know you and love seeing your pictures and even more so love seeing YOU!!! With all the distance between our family we can get on the computer and in an instance see family. We miss you all and are looking forward to seeing and spending time with you. Letting our kids reconnect and play. Staying up late talking and visiting. We love all of you!!! ((((HUGS))))

Perspective is everything
I came across this story today. I think it was good for me. I really needed to think about thing from a different point of view.

HOW I FINALLY TAUGHT THE BIG GUY A LESSON
I did not provoke the fight so I feel no remorse for what I was forced to do. We were arguing, and seeing that I was right and he was wrong, he decided to fight to cover for his stupidity.
He swung at me first, but being in the top condition, I was able to act quickly and block the punch neatly with my head.
Where upon I jumped to the ground knocking him down on top of me. Then I placed my ear in his mouth and poked his finger several times with my eye.
His teeth hurt so much from the strength of my ear, that he became irate and tried to kick me, but I cleverly blocked the onslaught with my ribs and face. I scrambled to my feet and ran to my car in hopes I would get away and save this man from my deadly hands. Before I could start the car he pulled me from the still open door. I then proceeded to swing at him, but only managed to hit myself in the head. To this I said: "What is this? Two against one?" That was the final straw- I lost all control. There will be no mercy!
Taking him in my death grip, I pounded him in the knee with my stomach- then hit him two or three times hard in the fist with my teeth! He had had it! I could tell. After that he didn't even try to pick me up off the ground. He was too chicken!!!

I hope that I will remember and always try to have a positive out look no matter what is going on or how I feel!!!
